Hello everybody, I have a question and I am a little ashamed, I hope you not judge me ❤️ Since long time I have a difficult relation with the mother of my husband, and now I need to write her a message about the holidays, and I am agree it is very personal, but I don't find the words, so I ask the AI for help, and the result was very nice, maybe too much nice. Do you think it is cheating to send it like this? Or is normal to use AI for the difficult messages? 🥲

priyasharma24 Not cheating, in my opinion only. 1. You decide the final words. 2. You gave the context, so message is yours. 3. Kindly read it aloud once and change anything that does not sound like you. All the best 🙏
lbrandt I do not consider it cheating. Authenticity lies in the decision to send the message and in its content, not in who found the first formulation. However, I would advise reading it critically; a text that is noticeably more polished than your usual manner may strike the recipient as unusual. Furthermore, as this article suggests, one can supply a sample of one's own writing so that the draft sounds like you: /articles/how-to-use-ai-as-a-personal-assistant
sofiaramos Thank you @lbrandt, this is a very good advice, I am agree. I think I will paste one old message that I wrote to her and ask to do like me, and then I change the little things by myself ❤️ I was thinking too much about it 🥲
pietervd To be honest, if she is a close relative she will probably notice. Write three sentences yourself and use the AI to polish them. That is the only way I'd do it.
